Last words about Snowkite this winter

I bumbed into it in thanks to a PubSub subscription stack item "Snowkite":



To summarize my snowkite season - lot's of trying to learn it, and then finally a reward in terms of 6.5 hours of speeding in Laajalahti ice on a very sunny day.
I had managed to however somehow get the bridles on the left side switched, and noticed back home that there were some serious wearing in bridles. That was the season for me unfortunately - snow and ice melted away while waiting new brdiles for Ozone. Danny in www.action-pact.co.uk was very helpful again in trying to get the bridles for me. Still waiting though.

Statue of "Tukkilaiset" (lumberjacks?) in Ii...

Had some nice walks in Ii in the evenings. Beautifull scenery near the library when sun was setting ... and there was actully the first rowing boat out in the middle of the icy Ii-river. That is the spirit !

Ruka April 2006...

Had a very relaxing 3 days in Ruka snowboarding/skiing with the whole family. Once again Nina did a great job to get Valtteri (now 6years) on his skiis and skiing the whole 3 days. This time I tried my best to "co-live" the beginning pain and was the free to share the joy once he got going ;o) Otherwise I spend a lot of time to go to the woods with Otto (snowboarding) and Vili (skiing).

I was cooking from (one of the best (maybe the best) cooking magazine in Finland) "Glorian Ruoka ja Viini" and bumbed into this in the magazine:

Adjustment
Vexatious mistake had slipped into Garlic-Anchovy parfait(?) recipe in our last publications at page 44. Ingredient list stated that instead of 1 can of anchovy you should put 1kg of beetroot.

Would have been nice to try that with 1kg of beetroot instead of 1 small can of anchovy ... after all it was supposed to be Galic-Anchovy parfait ;o)

Hitting ~50 years old nail...

Nina finally got what she wanted (more sun) and two gentlemen came to cut down 5 of our nice pine trees... It took the guys about 9 hours and quite a bit of acrobacy.
While cutting the logs into smaller chunks an "old urban legend" was proven to be true - they hit to about 50 years old nail hidding inside this old tree. This makes you just belive in Mr. Murphy and his law, and wonder what is the likelyhood of hitting to this very small nail inisde 35m long about 50cm thick tree ? enough ?)

Foo Fighters

It's so bloody nice to find new things/experiences nowadays ! Few weeks ago I bought bunch of new CDs from www.cdon.com - Coldplay's newest, old Supertramp one's which I had previously as LP's, the latest from my (all time favorite) Stevie Wonder who has THE VOICE, THE INTERPRETER of all times ;o) , and the newest Foo Fighter CD.
I actually bought In Your Honour from Foo Fighters (www.foofighters.com) just because of song DOA, but found that this double CD is something I've not experienced earlier... ever.

Fantastic total stuff x 2 in totally two different genres.

Totally love both of those two totally different CDs.

Totally.




Just feel sort of gratitude to the Foo Fighters guys to give me this ... and also that I'm still entitled to be able to exlore/enjoy new ;o)
