"Feels like somebody is holding Soul in his hand."


Joel Haahtela in today's Helsingin Sanomat: "I heard my first opera by Richard Wagner April 2011. I sat in Finnish National opera's parquet and felt horror about the length of the opera: 4hrs 15 minutes. When 5 first minutes of the overture had been playing I had been fallen into some sort of trance."   

Exactly my experience too.... same place(s), same feelings, same end result.

Next Tuesday: Tristan and Isolde in Musiikkitalo! Thanks to Outi, like last time with Parsifal.
