Well known fact (??) that toilet is THE place to find good "new" interesting stuff from old magazines... in peace without anybody disturbing ;o)

Very interesting story how the magnetic polarity of our dear Earth has been reversed in avarage every 200 000 years. Now there's about 780 000 years from the last one, and some signs that it could be starting again sometimes "soon"/has started. Looks like the current field has started to weaken few thousands years ago. During the last few years based on the measurements from 2 different satellites especially around Brazil and Southern Atlantic weakinging has been rapid. They have also measured large reversed polarity island in the surface of the core... globe is an amazing thing.

Bloody blessed recipes

Favorite recipes sort of are ~in the back of my mind so I do tend to remeber the ingridients and the quantities ... but not really to be honest. Today I managed to put 5dl of cream instead of 2.5dl into my all time favorite side dish "Maa-artisokka peruna paistos" which did not actually ruin the dish ;o) but was sort of embarrasing anyway
