Fobba and other Helsinki's virtual community policemen

Great to see authorities taking pretty much exactly the right approach towards "virtualization of life" ... Helsinki Police has been patrolling aka serving people in web (Facebook, IRC Gallery) since 2008. In average 20 various cases per week currently, and 2010 in total over 1000 sexual abuse (or someone trying to do one) cases was reported to police through their virtual community police force. Easy access (in the same environment where all friends are and big part of communication takes place) brings the police as close as they ever can?
I would have expected most of companies to do this virtualization of their services earlier than authorities.. instead of just starting to use socialized media as another push message channel.  

Apple ... consumers responsibility

I find it actually really quite odd, even a bit scary, that people do not require similar kind of business ethics and fairness from Apple that they require from practically all other consumer brands.
Yes – Apple products are forerunners in usability and as “things” they are pleasing. But, as Apple clearly aims for monopoly, complete control of content/censorship, unjustified role/% in content value chain and utter disrespect of IPR principles…. well what can one say - “We build the monster ourselves”? Apple = National Socialist Party of 21^st century of consumers.
I hope others get their products in par, soon.

Is that where it is best used?

90M€ of tax payers' money used for a 500m tunnel … why? To get few new block of flats and a bit more peace for those few hundred living next to current road?
Temped to say that the only/main reason is lobbing from construction companies.
Well whatever… not the wisest way of using 90M€ when state/cities are saving in education, health care, … everything.
