What happens ?
How to isolate and sense the ingredients/elements and timing of that "moment"
- when organisation starts to use more time and effort to tackle internal interfaces than it's true external challenges (=how to beat competition and win the hearts of it's customers) ?
- when a child replaces his/her natural curiosity and drive to learn new things with "Studying is boring" ?... seems to be happening in ~days
- when we have more things to dislike than love ?
- when we transform from superply overperforming teams to under performing "I do just my part" teams ?
Change can be great - boost to grow & learn, become stronger ... also as teams
Change can be depective - deterioration of good things
Maybe it's all just very primitive - stay alert, observe the "surroundings", sense the changes, take nothing for granted and you'll live better ?

91019
"We create cars".... I've been driving for over 23 years and with pretty many different cars. Renault Grand Scenic which now has been with us for little bit over three years and 91019km is the car. Uggly but driving,- functionality- and reliabilitywise the best.
wow... one can now add video into blogger ! Nice !

Lahjaton Tuomo - Lahjakas Billy
During the last project we had some really great partners in Salo (CAM Company & Elmo design) which meant I needed to drive quite often to Salo. I thought it'd be great to use "all that spare time" eg to learn French by listening some teach yourself CD set... I bought one, listened it for hours, learned very little unfortunately. Would be nice to be one of those talented persons who just pick up languages - I am not unfortunately.
For the last weeks I've been listening Billy Talent's II over and over again in the car on the way to work and back home. I'm actually surprised how I still do listen it and it almost like gets better and better.
Billy talent - Tuomo not.

Communicate it positively...
"The delivery of left-behinds (=shit) of Helsinki people and their pets from the parks, streets and cliffs of Helsinki to the waste containers is STIRCLY PERMITTED accodring to the city regulations".
Nice to see it expressed this way ! ... eventhough I do not ---t to streets personally nor have a dog/cat which would do it that either that make me feel hmm nice.

Unwelcome entrance of "awareness of sciatic nerve" to my life....
Last weekend was summer's best windsurfing weekend at Laurinlahti home harbour. Lot's of wind and fun during Friday & especially Saturday ... and since that constant knife in the lower back and very bad sleep (only able to lay on my back).
18th of August 2007 sciatic nerve entered my life, and I hope that it will fade away for next Saturday.
Weird but shere sitting or laying down only seems to make it worse whereas work (painting ceiling on Sunday and installing heavy shower "cabin" classes on Monday) seem to really ease the pain ?
My deepest sympathies to fellow beings who really have it bad with their backs.

Swarm behaviour part 2...
The more I think about how start-up mode actually works the more I feel it actually somehow resembles Swarm Behaviour ... first an odd thought to compare colonies of bees and start-up workers ;o) but for example:
"The bees' rules for decision-making—seek a diversity of options, encourage a free competition among ideas, and use an effective mechanism to narrow choices ..." and then everybody aligns to go for common chosen goal
Start-ups are self organising - the group alings itself for optimal result after negotiations. That's why it's so bloody fast, effective and exciting.

Exactly...
Exactly along (for quite some time now) the same lines with Sauli's Hesari message from last weekend ... we could unfortunately be getting nearer to point where we wish we'd have ~most of our food produced here locally... hopefully we still have enough peolple willing to get up at 5am to milk the cows for the city folks.... 100USD per barrel closing us plus just plain general need for food globally.
Funny to read that we running out of milk because Asian countries use more milk than ever. Bring back those old fashion 10 cows - 10 hectares small farms !
I'm willing to increase my taxation to increase the subsides for farming in Finland

Intelligent together....
Great story in National Geographic (Finnish edition nro 9 2007) by Peter Miller about Intelligence of crowds (Parviäly - Swarm behaviour) ... very intersting and Swarm behaviour theories will have significant effects in our future.
In English the story can be found from here:

Valtteri actually knew the whole Finnish issue back & forth thanks to Marja ;o) The most interesting things for him though were "Viiriparatiisilinnun pään koristehöyhen" (nice one to try to pronounce for non Finns... Antoine give it try ? ;o) and the recent studies on "The last hours of Iceman Ötzi". Malaria story interested him greatly too.
Finally...
10.08.2007 finally got my both feet into the footstraps and got really planing securely thanks to Guy Cribb's instructions. www.guycribb.com
9.5m2 2cam sail and old Mistral Equipe is a nice combination with lake winds ;o) Somehow that sail is "majestic". Really nice to notice that even though I'm an old man and hopelessly slow to learn I still do progress ... and it all took only 3 summers ;o)
These points enabled the final "oivallus":
I really wish that I'd found his instruction earlier....

Kaisu was visiting us this weekend which was very nice. Saturday we did a small round trip to Bilnäs, Fiskars, Tammisaari and visited Aarre ja Meeri Bromarv paradise.
Nice as always (like going abroad ;o)
Fantastic desert in the Värdshus in Fiskars - Oven pistachio icecream, strawberries and blackcurrant sauce with scent of mint aside:

Getting a grip with Cribb...
Missed the after "strom" sweet winds for family reasons but finally managed to try the advices from Guy Cribb DVD... Twist - BoomShaka with throw & reach underneath really do make it easier and the difference.
...and finally starting to get into footstraps or as he calls it slipping to something more comfortable (and safe)

....thanks to Guy I think I'm finally getting it ;o)
